The renowned American pizzeria chain Papa John's is gearing up to make its mark in the Uzbek market. The company is actively in the process of recruiting staff for its upcoming ventures, Uzbek Retail reports.
While the exact opening dates for the initial locations remain undisclosed, sources reveal that Papa John's plans to establish its presence in six key locations within Tashkent, focusing primarily on popular shopping centers. As per information obtained from an online job portal, the anticipated pizzeria outlets are expected to grace the premises of prominent locations such as the Riviera shopping center, Compass shopping center, Tashkent City Mall, Dream Park, in addition to the Minora area, and Sairam street.
Papa John's, recognized as a prominent American chain of food service cafes specializing in pizza, traces its roots back to its founding by John Schnatter in 1984. Since its inception, the franchise has grown to become the third-largest pizza chain globally, boasting an extensive network of 5,500 locations worldwide.
Earlier, Daryo reported that Korzinka, Uzbekistan's retail chain, has inked a significant loan agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for up to $25mn. The funds will be utilized for the construction of a state-of-the-art distribution center (DC), aligning with Korzinka's ongoing expansion plans and commitment to sustainable practices.
