Emir of Qatar together with the president of Uzbekistan inked 15 agreements enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries, the president's press service reports.
The following are the signed documents:
- Intergovernmental agreement on mutual promotion and protection of investments;
- Intergovernmental agreement for the prevention of double taxation and elimination of evasion of taxes on income and property;
- Intergovernmental agreement on mutual assistance in customs matters;
- Intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of labor relations;
- Intergovernmental agreement on exemption of diplomatic passport holders from visa requirements;
- Intergovernmental memorandum on cooperation in the field of higher education and scientific research;
- Intergovernmental memorandum on cooperation in the field of culture;
- Memorandum on cooperation in the field of trade;
- Memorandum on cooperation in the field of agriculture and food;
- Memorandum on cooperation in the field of plant quarantine and protection;
- Memorandum on cooperation in the field of sports and youth affairs;
- Memorandum on cooperation between the cities of Tashkent and Doha.
