The Public Council of the Anti-Corruption Agency responded to the words of Minister of Health, Amrillo Inoyatov, "If you treat the patient nicely, he will ‘please’ you accordingly".
The Public Council stated that the main goal of the Ministry of Health should be to eliminate illegal act such as forcing money to graft (whether voluntary or not) and introduce a classified payment mechanism in the promotion of doctors.
According to the "Safar" Telegram channel tweets, the problem in this matter is not with the Minister of Health.
"What is new about these things? Who has not visited the doctor's wish cash, Inoyatov agrees and gives his blessing. He is not guilty because the problem is in the system that has not been corrected for years. Instead of fighting against people putting money in doctors' pockets, we could talk about quality medicine. Quality is always expensive," the post reads.
Health Minister Amrillo Inoyatov attended a meeting in Fergana to talk about the salaries of the managers in the healthcare system and asked about one of the managers-doctors’ salaries. After listening to the doctor's words, the minister expressed his confidence that the 5.5 million soums he mentioned would be a sufficient amount when adding the “extra cash” given by patients.
