The hosting of the World Cup among football players under the age of 20 has been withdrawn from Indonesia. This was announced on the official website of FIFA.
The main football body has come to this decision after a meeting between FIFA President Gianni Infantino and the head of the Indonesian Football Association Eric Tahir.
FIFA has left the tournament dates unchanged and will announce the new host country’s name soon.
The people of Indonesia were dissatisfied with the participation of Israel in the competition. The leaders of some Indonesian cities said that they would not allow Israel to enter their territory. After that, FIFA cancelled the drawing ceremony, originally scheduled for March 31. And now Indonesia is deprived of hosting.
Sanctions against Indonesia will also be announced later.
The U-20 national team of Uzbekistan will be representing the Asian continent along with Iraq, Japan and South Korea.
